how it works

Four steps, running entirely on your machine.

A hook fires before the approval prompt, a local daemon hands back a task, and a cooldown keeps the rhythm sane. FitGate never sees your code — only the tool name and a one-line summary, and only on localhost.

A lifecycle hook runs fitgate gate right before your agent shows you a permission prompt.

The hook asks the local daemon for a micro-task. A notification pops, you do it, you press Done.

A cooldown and daily cap keep gates habit-forming, not constant. FitGate always fails open.

quick start

Two ways to install

Node.js users get the CLI from npm; everyone else gets a self-contained binary, Node bundled inside.

with node.js
